I have always loved the moon, but it can be a particularly tough subject to photograph. Essentially you're photographing a light source in a dark environment. On this particular night  the sky was empty mostly empty of stars so that only exacerbated the effect, but does give the benefit of leaving the subject unobscured. I took this with my Nikon D7100, and was able to capture a lot of detail - the craters, shading and phase are all quite clear. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do!
